well, you dont gain 17 bhp from an exhaust and filter in the first place, so the 167 figure is bullshoot to start with.

I made 159bhp so I take it thats shit aswell

why is it that when people doubt power claims and even though the folk have proof of the power of they're car people still doubt them

love it!

oh, and those figures are bollox by the way. a lot of rolling road places will give you higher figures so that everyone is smiling and think that its been a great day and are happy with the service....... then think the place is great and come back time and time again spending more money.

thats why i drive 160 miles to noble motorsport to gem mine mapped and set up. they are honest and will tell you if your car is running shoot.

craigs was done on falkland Performance RR which had standard CTR etc's putting out standard figures. My T4 also put out 199bhp which is 1 bhp down on standard so think their rollers are pretty accurate.

dedending on the cams, a 15 bhp gain is possible with a system, headwork and filter.

so that makes the claim of 167 with just a exhaust and filter look stupid.

well they obviously are not right. 180bhp is not possible with those mods. read beardys comment again! carbs or tb's are needed to get that sort of power. possibly 165- 170 with the mods on it.

and look at the fact that a 1.4 16v on standard inlet made 108 bhp.

Get it mapped out on the road, use a datalogic system, RR still dont map aswell as doing it on the road.

Red20 Trust me the rolling road is spot on.
Its regulary calibrated an no one has ever questioned the results.
If they seen the technology that's attached to Peco's 1000bhp Dyno Jet Rolling Road
i doubt they would question any part of it.
Dont forget dave the technician?
He has been doing rolling roads for years and years, and before he joined peco.
He know's if somethings not right

He diagnosed a problem with steds car just by looking at the graph as it died before it peaked.

Between Dave and the Rollers and the computer,
there is no chance of a miss reading in my opinon.

As we said on the day,
if you sorted your tappets out it would have got higher.

I guess they just cant believe it can be done.

I will host more pics with graphs in the morning,
i'm wiped out...

But it was an excellent day and anyone that
missed it did miss it.
