come to think about it, they must have been around your car for some time to carefully do it.

Sorry to hear that man, but wtf!
I reckon it was Teddy or Jr personally. I saw them yesterday having a look round. And it was probably a weight saving idea?

its not been done "carefully" as such, all theyve done is torn the rubber, and the glass pops out with it, i can see how simple it would have been
and they used screwdrivers to lever the HU out, so they werent that good
and the fact that they didnt open the glovebox on the off chance proves that they were idiots

Harsh man. But could have been alot worse. Like mine... last week had my door bent out, broke in and took..... NOTHING!
Almost makes it worse as now ideally need a new door and a full respray at a later date due to the colour of my paintwork. Damn Pearlescent.
Had rear quarters window smashed before too around a year back. And yet again... took... NOTHING. haha!
Daft Cooonts. Good to see that CAT 1 alarms are worth the money. That face-off stereos confuse the most intelligent of TWOCERS and that fixed Cobra seats up front create a huge problem for them reaching, never mind getting into the rear of the car to steal all of my ICE once broken in through the drivers door. While the alarm was blaring out.
PRICELESS.

seems alot of trouble to get the cheapish stereo, how long you reckon it would take to take the rear window out

not long at all mav, its not bonded in, so you get the rubber out, and the window comes with it
but they didnt even take the cds or the 250 pound camera and 200 pund pda from the glove box, which i stil dont understand
they left no fingerprints either, which would indicate that it wasnt just kids messing about

That's rather weird.
When my car got broken into they did about £400 worth of damage, breaking windows and chizling through panels to knock out locks.

Invest in an alarm with ultrasonic sensing - I like stating the obvious after the event has taken place!
BTW - The rubber can be from any year Nova iirc doesn't have to be a '85

I thought you were gonna say you were gonne put a gate where your rear screen should be! Now THAT would be a interesting mod!
Find someone breaking a Nova or goto a Vauxhall breakers, shouldn't charge you too much, give it a clean up and Bob's your mothers brother!
