they will ask you why you didnt call the police immediately (as you should with all car accidents)
then again, somtimes they dont even turn up if you do

thought it wasnt necassary if both parties sort out details themselves etc? spoke to insurance today (for half an hour) and they never mentioned the police etc?

your not meant to call the police unless your blocking the road or someone is injured and since you felt ok at the time you did the right thing.
Regardless of what you may have been doing if he hit you from behind its his fault.
And as for going to court, unfortunately it may be a year to 2 years before its all sorted. Ive had two accidents that took well over a year each to sort. Surprisingly both 3rd parties suddenly remembered they were at fault when court proceedings were issued.

na didnt have to go to court at all cos the chap who went into me jus said he did it and insurance company sorted it out. if the chav tw*t tries anything then call the police keep all texts from him also. you have a witness so you got no problem i didnt have any. make sure you claim for the money your missing out on at work.

yeah iv kept the texts just in case, also my dad has told him not to make contact with me anymore and to do it all through solicitors, so if he does text me again then i can use that! thing im worried about is him trying to change story etc or blame me (i know he cant really) but i just cant be arsed with the hassle. specially if it ends up in court!

think thats why he was trying so hard to get me to accept him paying cash and not get the insurance involved. hes young, obviously just passed test and was only driving a 1.0 old micra, insurance will be bad enough without him having a driving offence.
