i very much doubt this
the handling is proberly fine for mincing about, but any hard use of the car is going to show up the downfalls surley
[Edited on 11-03-2006 by jr]
you say you doubt that the handling is fine?? yes, the airbags aren't gonna match up to coilovers but how many people use their cars for track like you. you are entitled to an opinion but in my opinion, coilovers can be harsh and bumpy for normal day to day driving but with airbags(which are a traditional mcphereson strut setup) will be a much smoother ride yet will still handle as good as or better than standard. unless icy's golf is a track car then his options remain 50/50 as to what he wants.
as for being "gay", whats wrong with havin a slamed golf, bumpers touchin the floor but bein able o drive on harsh roads or over speed bumps without causin damage. i think you're more concerned with the max power image than their functionality...

Simple,
if you are going to use it for racing, track days what have you then surely coils are the chose.
if you are going to use it for general driving and shows (much more likely jr ) then go for bags.
Agree with the chaps mentioning chav being overused, getting rather lame.

coils i have just now are fk konigsports, more for track day use with the dampenin adjustables but i always leave it on stiff/hard so bags would just be the same for me if the handlin will be shite, read up on early bag kits handle poo but the new style ones are jus as good as coils.
vibes - they aint costin me much more than a new decent set of coils so its worth it, cant really afford it but when i see a bargain i just have to have it
gettin pics tm hopefully
hitman - prob try fit it ourselves to save some money or if noone up here can fit them, have no clue man. ds engineerin site sucks, number doesnt work. mr chillis is cool too

I would say airbags mate, dont bother with hydros you are asking for more problems.
If your getting airbags make sure its corner to corner control rather than just front up and down and back up and down, been in both and corner to corner handled well

LOOKS like its all their m8
THE 2 struts with the bags on top are for the front they got shock absorbers in there! Which you can adjust to make them stiffer or lighter!
Other two are air cylinder would have been allot better if they where bags on the rear also but there fine front strut will just bolt on 3 bolts nice and simple compressor looks fine how big is tank m8? 2 gallon or 3?
the gold thing is your electronic pressure switches should make a nice dump valve noise when releasing air lol! Then you got your gauges and switchbox LCD screen.........
Did he give you any nylon piping for the airlines how much you paying??
