I dont understand why you would want to obliterate your girlfriends dad on the road?? to prove that you are an immature driver who might well end up killing his daughter??

he does have a point though

or it was nothing special, rev1/2. 220/240 ish bhp? Read on IMOC they weigh over 1400kgs from the factory, compare that to a 1000kg corsa with 200bhp, my moneys on the lighter car.

Also at a recent trakday with a load of mr2s the only one out of the mk1s, 2s and 3s was a very well driven mk1 supercharger that was lapping at similar speeds to me. People dont realise how heavy MR2s are, and the N/A ones dont produce as much torque.

I agree, the mr2 is a far nicer place to be, but when comparing performance a decent setup wrong engine corsa has no problems.

'I think the official weights were between 1270 and 1320kgs depending on spec.'

that aint heavy thats lighter than a mk4 astra and a lot lighter than a coupe version

and id say a mr2 tub will beat a 200bhp corsa (as long as the driver is decent anyway)

well lets take your corsa,, quite a modified wee beasty isnt it,what you got?? bigger turbo? stage 3 chip and loads of others wee bits right??

you stick it up against a mr2 that has been modded to a similar stage and your talking a minimum of 400 bhp at the wheels and the added bonus of better traction for standing starts, a higher top speed and better chassis

i know what id bet my money on,, i mean you have a good car but it couldnt take on a modded jap beasty

btw for the rec what does a standard mr2 turbo run a quarter in?
