IMHO there is absolutely no point whatsoever in tuning an derivative of the a series nowadays. There are so many better engines with similar power to a tuned a series as std.

For my money id have a 16se or 16xe, vtec, xe, or just about anything else before an all iron 3 mean bearing low capacity non crossflow pile of shite, turbod or not.

Update:

No engine conversion sadly

My dad's started fixing the rust problems on the doors, and sorting out some new panels. He's also going to teach me how to mig-weld

Going to take out the engine, and clean it up, fit some new parts to it (the necessities -sp) Will try to convince to get a metro turbo engine when the orig engine is out lol.

Any more styling ideas welcome

keeping the current wheels on it?

if so, dont over arch it, either stick to some normal rover ones or have none at all

also, paint it either tartan red with an old english white roof

or old english white, with a black roof

edit: or stone grey with black

add a flip front to it rather than weld new panels onto it.not a fibreglass front though a proper steel one like i had on mine.
makes the removel of the engine dead easy then.

hmmmm... difficult one, Old english white, or black both look good

If you have black arches, black roof, no arches, white roof
