The Impreza would destroy it, there would be no match whatsoever. The Scooby would outbrake it, out accelerate it, outhandle it and by the time the Corsa got to the straight the Scooby would be gone.

Im not just saying that cos Ive got a Scooby now, I used to have a 200bhp+ Corsa with loads of braking/suspension mods and to be fair the handling could never be described as anything other than dangerous! The Scooby "wagon" is virtually the same as the saloon, it has a longer roof and a bit more glass.

Go down to 2.Specifications and look at kerb weight - 1235kg for the 4 door and 1270kg for the 5 door. Which still makes it a fairly light car!

So what do you think now? Im still saying the lard ass wagon would win!! Its the same chassis/suspension/brakes as the 4 door. That bit of extra roof, glass and 35kg wouldnt make a difference in the real world!

Have we forgotten about the tyres in this debate?

The tyres will have a bigger influence than anything else IMO
