That isnt that impressive in standard terms.

Agreed. The amount of money for conversion and "tuning" could be spent on a VTS/GTi and the ZS (with conversion) would be a blip in the rearview.

Good point!

I know this is a corsa site. But if money is low and you want a fast hot hatch then there are plenty of nice VTS's starting from £900

vts = nippy motor for me
saxo = frence, ugly, crap in a crash, more common than corsa's around here.

zetec s = slowish but quite than my 1.0 got to be a bonus, look mint, handle well, cheap to insure, only 1 ive seen in my town.

A VTS IS a Saxo mate..

They cost quite a lot IIRC, a few grand for an OK example. Would be better of getting a Corsa Sport with Speedlines and a GSi kit IMO

insureance is a big issue as well, i have been quoted £645 fully comp on the zs, i will not have a saxo end of, i know the quick but no thanks, love the look of the gsi but just dont fancy one of them. i think that the ZS is a lovly looking car and with not much spend you can see 130bhp wich sound nice(taken for puma build).

I've never never ever been imptressed by the handling of the Zetec S

Its too bouncy and has far too much body roll through the corners - I'm not confident into corners in it - theres no feedback through the wheel

the corsa on the other hand - I can throw into a corner - I can feel when and where the wheels start to break traction

oh and another point the zetec S has the WORST turning circle of any car I have ever driven

(which is a lot considering I used to drive cars on and off ferries for a living)

My brothers ZS was quicker than my Standard Gsi. But strangely his was quicker than any other ZS that we raced! I've heard of varying Bhp's from them.

I wasnt overly impressed by the interior - its a bit bland and plasticy; plus you dont get much for your money

few came with A/C, Sunroof etc

you just about get electric windows; no E/Mirrors - which for a newer - top of the range model; should really be a standard

You sure your talkin about a Zetec S and not a Zetec? My ZS came with A/C, Heated Front Screen, E/Mirrors, and a 6 disc changer!
