Hi,
No updates really, spent a bit getting the CV etc fixed after it broke down, and it could probably do with a set of tyres. Saving for the respray too

UPDATE: 25-July - Sent to the bodyshop on the 9-July:
at the car in this state, She's off to the bodyshop to get spruced, repainted and to come back! Loads of bits to buy.
I've bought a 1.6 Sport which i'm driving at the moment, hoping to see the car back again after my holiday in a couple of weeks time! Can't wait!
There has been a delay in the shop because of a few unavoidable circumstances. Hoping to see it back soon enough though - And it will be better than ever

How long is a piece of string.
Station bodyshop have it currently and there not best known for speedy turnarounds. The workmanship will be no doubt worth the wait

Right here a little update for you dude...
Sand her down...
No more vegus...
Start finding and sorting and filling all over your dents..
No holes here...
All ready to weld in..
All welded up,
Fiber glassed...
fiber glass rubbed down..and filled.
Filler rubed down..needs a lil stoppering then ready to primer,
Had the glass guys in to take all the windows out,
Fished off the deer dents...
Found a lil surface rust, so this was ground out and rust treated/killed,
The filled,
Pics of the roof getting welded and filled,
Making sure the boot line was right..
Getting masked up...
Getting all primerd up.
I primer'd all the bumpers and trim.
Getting the car all flatted off ready for paint, i havent got any finger prints left...
After a few hours of flatting...
All done,
Paint turned up, so the paint bays been swept out, and washed down ready for the morning. The car was taken out side and blown out and off, then taken in and pannel wiped (de-geased,de-waxed) while i flat the bumpers, and primer the arches up, Then taken in to be all masked up,
At 8 am i got to work, we re cleaned the floor then re pannel wiped the car.
The first coats of paint going on...
Boss at work...
now this is where we had a prob. with the car all based up it was silcon city!
fisheyes all over the whole fucking car! so we had to flat the whol car back again..
While doing it we found 3small dents so they where sorted, hence the primer..
this is mr silcon... if you can see him..
right now for more base...
With the base on, the car all looked stright..and no more fish eyes,
so it was time for lacquar...
Stright as funk boot
Stright as funk roof,
Can you see me?and my finger?
Now shes been left to dry over night...
so that i can flat and polish her in the morning to get her even flatter and shineyer...
A little bit from me now!
A few pics from today. Got it given back to me for the weekend so that I can get started on putting it back together lol.
The trims
Car - Needs it spoiler, really happy with the boot
No rub strips , No Vegas , No Locks
Bumper near the front of the car - Can't wait to get it all on and some decent pics with the digicam
Took ages to try and clean the dust out today - Put the wiring back in too
Not much to go back in...
Sorry about the phone pics - Will definatly try and get some decent ones for you all ASAP.

Right the arches have been a huge pain in the balls, the rear ones are so full of silcon its unreal,
trims in there 4th reprimering..
You can see the "fisheye" that the silcons makes..
Now they've been built up enought and should have been lacquared late tonight.
Ready to collect/fit tomoz,
Now this is how phil left on friday...
After a 3day weekend of mincing about top less he got a few things done...
The car came back for a few bits of polishing that was missed (as in sunlight you can see it better..)
So iu set about mopping up any dull bits... and machine polishing to remove any swirl marks...
Nice and flat and shiney...
Though the car could do with some good wax...as phil uses AG *vomit*
Right doing the last bits today...
the rear bumper was cut..(after painting phil.)
Arches all dry, (collected this evening)
flatting,and polihing the spolier...
Polishing the spoiler one handed wasnt easy!
Came up well tho...
Thats really it from me....
Hope you like what youve seen,
Massive thanks to Benn for the hard work, pics and commentry and Keith and the rest of the team at Station BodyShop SBS Fareham. Any enquiries please contact:
