Maybe, i only noticed because i could hear a humming noise and it was pissing me off.
Picked up the PSU and it seems like there is a fan inside, its running much cooler

there wouldnt be a fan inside without vents to the fan on the side, if you cant see any vents that might lead to a fan i doubt its got one

mine has holes in the end too, mine crashed twice but only when playing tdu, never on any other game.
How hot does ppls consoles get? my psu doesnt get very hot at all but the console itself gets quite warm towards the back, and ive got it laying down ontop of a small box so all the vents are clear.

i have the Xbox intercooler. sounds like a jet plane but keeps it a lot cooler and has never crashed (yet)

Im in the same position no reciept either  did u get yours swapped at pc world with no reciept dave?
apparently MS will swap all 360s made in 2005 (says on the back) for free no questions.. may have to try that i thinkl

thats because they have a years warranty and only came out in 05? therfore they will replace any up to end of the month

yes they will as that was when alot of them went wrong, get in contact with microsoft ive heard of loads of people having there nov/dec 05 360's swapped for newer ones from them

the back of my xbox 360 gets hot, have it standing up and all sides are free but still gets hot
thats the one thing that annoys me about the 360, the amount of noise it makes when you play a game from the cd etc, its fine when your on dashboard etc, i just wish it stayed like that

mine has started freezing recently when i play on tdu and acces the map after about 5 seconds on the map screen the game just freezes anyone have any clue whats happening there.i have been on the 360 support page done everything its told me to do on there but still having problems.dont have any problems with my other games just tdu freezing

I found my recipt and PC World exchanged mine no questions asked, its a common problem.
The new one seems fine, the PSU runs ALOT cooler, but is SO loud 
Ive heard those intercooler things only make the problem worse.................

the holes you're talking about are like 5mm diameter yes? theres about 5 of them either end of the block?

ive got about 20 holes on either end of mine, it runs real cool, but no noise of a fan or anything, my xbox was bult 2.04.06 according the the back so i shud be clear of the faulty ones?
