same as that the torque delivery with tb's compard to the lexmaul is so much better, old 140bhp against old 190bhp different cars, granted the 190bhp needed to be above 6k rpm, but that was no issue.... be interesting to see how the new spec compares

Mantzels suck below 3k if using a cone filter. D5 was jolty and nasty. Above that and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..
But if your launching, revs will always be high.
Andys was running fine power wise that day. Didn't have the CR box, and it was still Arden Blue so didn't have the custom airbox, just a very expensie 1.6 engine on TB (and lots of work).
As I say, peak power means nowt if its not setup right and isn't usable.
TBH, when i went in Andys car, it was nippy, but never stood a chance against a mildly spec'd 2.0 XE on TB... Luckys just blew it away, and only had about 35bhp more...
TBH, Andys car is superb for what it is, I love it, but it made a lot of noise (nice noise ) but didn't go that well really...
Lucky could play against 600cc sports bikes!!!! No Small block XE is ever going to do that, ever!!! WEll, maybe in a go-kart (Lee Mitchell? Interested ha ha).

Yeah, but both engines have been tuned to similar specs in their own tuning ways. 214bhp 1.6 and a 250bhp 2.0... But you are right in what your saying.
Your the guy that blew up big stylee at Donnington aint you? Building the new engine, new rods, the full works? What kinda torque levels you aiming for? (andys was 145lb ft but from pretty much 4k up to 10k redline.. )
