Stop talking about how fast they are!!!

"brutal acceleration"
"200bhp per tonne"
"can see off porches and scoobies"

All make me want one soooo much

Don't forget high tyre bills thats a deterrant.

Insurance goes up

Tax goes up

Fuel costs go up

It goes pitishhh, and for some thats embarrasing....

Err, only down points im afraid. All things that shouldn't be taken into consideration anyway when putting an engine like this in

Nothing wrong with that. imo. it serves a purpose. like performance exhausts. some find loud exhausts embarrasing.

Fuel wasnt too bad in mine, if your not boosting its very reasnable on petrol, its a very light car and doesnt require much use of the right foot to get anywhere Not economic but its far better than the calibra is

Loadsa problems post coversion, everyone does, things need fine tuning like position of hoses loom etc.

My advice would be if you have allready to buy new sensors for most things as mine wnet through a different ne each month, the worst thing that happen was an oil feed worked loose and pissed all the oil out the engine in 5miles and turned my bonnet black

Invest in some mikalor clamps as they are stronger than usual jubilee clips as i was popping endless boost hoses off.

Lee Mitchell did mine, fine job too.

Just be prepared to mess about with it a bit, my engine never missed a beat, even when sensors failed it was still 100% driveable (apart from when i ran out of oil )

Actually, now you've mentioned it, tbh, Donnas is really good on juice. FAR better than the astra, she still sees 300 miles from a tank, which is about 5-6 litres smaller than the astra (of which we get about 260-280)!!!
