Turbo it wont see for dust!!!
i dont mean in a straight line, i mean handling wise
MR2 handles great in dry conditions, better than any fwd car ive drove, you have to be very very good at driving (not just think you are) or have a death wish to go full on in the wet.

i didnt like any of the handling tbh especially on twisty B roads, hence my choice of the 306.

i have a 306 and think its a great little car, with a good set of tires it has fantastic handling. talking of the gti-6 i know someone who picked one up 2 years with 97k on the clock and it still going strong, i honestly thought it would of died by now. as long as you dont mind the odd squeak and rattle and coming across abit of dodgy electrics every once in a while then the gti-6 will be a good fun car.
can only speak on what ive read about the mr2 turbo but they sound very capable. the rev3 will do 0-60 in 5.1 and pulls strong in every gear but there are alot of thrashed examples out there so i would be very careful on the one you buy.
also if you bought either of these cars would it be your first fast car? as a mid engined turbo rwd car in the winter sounds lethal

I had an mr2 turbo generally very relieable just watch out for corroded coolent pipes that run the length of the car. Cost 660 quid to fix the petrol tank had to come off.
I had a jap exhaust and bleed valve on mine so running about 250bhp and it was quite quick to the 112 limiter
Not a car for the inexperianced driver. Lethal in the wet if you get a corner wrong and you would be likely to get trapped in the small cabin after an impact....

Yeah I have driven a few MR2's, had an N/A 2.0 litre for a while and my mate had a black turbo running about 300bhp.
Fair enough - RWD cars are a bit more of a handful in the wet but thats sportscars for you!

I also had a 2wd cossie and that felt alot safer pushing it in the damp/wet than the mr2 turbo. Must have been because the engine was in the front...

Incorrect mine is not. I use it on B roads and motorways and it actually uses less than my tuned x16xe

quite similar in most respects, obviously less room, probably a bit better though tighter corners, and a little quicker below a ton
