Question tho... can i leave the holes open where the sliders were and use the two outlets at each end of the TB's for brake servo pipe or will it cause too much air restriction or disturbance?

ideally the holes want to be filled, to keep the air passages smooth

yes, as rob said, you want the inlect tract to be as straight and smooth as possible. are the sliders before or after the butterfly?

i.e trumpet or head end?

id say trumpet end, as there are no injector bosses visible (which im assuming go after the butterfly)

although, when on the bike engine, the gaps left arent blocked up when the sliders are open. could you not just connect up the vacuum so they open as they would do on a bike?

havent a clue
what about removing them, drilling/boring out the centres so they dont cause any obstruction and then refitting them, so they stay 'shut' but not restricting anything

the vacuum sliders work in the same way as a secondary butterfly. they work to maintain perfect intake velocity by matching intake diameter to intake pressure. similar to a constant velocity carb. the benefit being smoother throttle response

Well ive taken the sliders out and im gonna fill them with alloy putty.

Im going to get brake servo take off made with the manifold. Told him to do 1 takeoff on 2 and one of 4.

Anyway... the strip down begins...

vaccum takeoffs are better on cylinders 3 and 4 due to the position of water pipes under the manifold. like this:

I had vacuum take-off's on cylinders 2 and 3 and the water pipe got in the way

Right bit of update.

Aint gonna have all the bits for the bike TB's for a while so gone down another route now to get it back on road.

Bought a performance inlet which is currently being made so im moving stuff around in the engine bay to fit it.

Taken off the engine loom so i can hid it a bit more... removed the battery ready to go into the boot and also gonna remove the firewall to make it a bit neater in the engine bay

Ive also done away with the throttle body cooling pipes as the are really small bore and feel they are more of a restriction than anything. Ive split the pipe and joined it straight from the coolant tank to the gallery pipe at the back of the block getting rid of the horrid T piece the C16xe/C20xe conversions have as i think it looks untidy.
