Cosmotron you love me and you know it.
My England squad would be brilliant, and no it wouldn't be especially United biased, and yes Gerrard would definatley be in it

TBH most of us could. But I have a feeling Topshot would just pick all spurs players.
Im not sure any of us could hack it as a manager.

I certainly wouldn't drop vital players just to stamp my mark.

I dont know if I could hack it as a top level club manager.
But seriously, I really dont think the England job is that hard...not with all the quality he has to pick from.

im sure theres more to it than just picking your squad, a starting 11, and sending them out to play

There has to be, why would there be managers otherwise? surely a group of coaches or something would suffice!?

Did anyone see that programme other day (cant remember which one) where he watched a football match with a scout, and had to log all the corners etc, and write comments on each player, was quite interesting, shows the depths they go to.

the thing is though he has a coach who trains them, a scout and people to analyse the opposition for him, he doesnt have to do anything long-term with regards to training as clubs do this, etc.
So other than picking 11 players and picking what tactics to use (which other than the big games shouldnt be hard for an England side) he doesnt have much to do.

I just cant be bothered to argue with you. I dont agree with what you are saying and Nath seems to be with me on this.
I just think you are wrong.

Thats fine, I dont expect all to agree. Just saying why I think its not a particularly hard job to do 90% of the time (other than having to have tactical knowledge in the bigger games).

Anyone can pick a team imo. Managing is another matter.

And im saying its probably harder than we all imagine. I mean, having to go and be a pundit on ITV and watch through a Spurs game must be hard. I wouldnt want to have to sit through that tripe.

something we agree on finally - feel so sorry for him!
TBH though, I also dont think he should be a pundit while he is a manager, but thats just nothing really.
