The fact that it was powder coated on the inside, which flaked off after time and fell into the engine internals (in short).
It should never of been powder coated on the inside in the first place.
IMO it's the job of the seller to have a product that is fit for it's intended purpose - not that of the buyer to check that it is intended for it's specified use.
In this case the seller has sold a sub-standard product for it's application and whether the buy should of checked the item or not is totally irrelivent.

do not take this the wrong way but if spending thousands getting 400 BHP from the engine why buy a part of ebay

For the sake of saving a few quid its cost thousands

Not VAT registered, just a chav who gets stuff done in bulk and sells it.

Reports him to trading standards..

I was told by many to stay away from his Chrome parts as well as the finish was very poor. But thats just word of mouth.....

TBH, from someone who claims he pretty much knows Vauxhall engines inside and out, very poor show. He should have put that it would need to be checked rather than jsut knock them out and say nothing...

But on the other hand, the item should have been checked before fitting...

I wouldn't trust Chavtastic at all, just from his attitude on migweb......

But then didn't the same thing happen to Fads engine, sand from the rocker cover clogged the pump? Same thing really. Fad should have checked it, but then also the powder coater should have let him know.

Looking at the XE inlet manifold he has for sale on eBay at the moment, it doesn't look too good either to be honest.

The threads are full of blue powder, and you can easily see the coating on the inside of the manifold, but only in parts.

Not good at all in my opinion, I hope muppet gets it sorted and gets compensation for it.
