just use a different top bracket, I made mine. lets you swing the alternator out of the way. you will need a different belt as well.

I've unbolted the alternator bracket and with the alternator pushed all the way back they fit fine so im thinking of using an 8v alternator bracket.

Gonna do that first... if it does clear ok then ill leave it otherwise ill get smaller alternator.

Another question (mainly aimed at Dave) How the fuck do you get to the manifold bolts when the inlet it on... ther doesnt seem to be any way to get a socket on some of them as things are in the way like the linkage?

use offset ring spanners, sockets on wobble bars etc... cant remember exactly and depends which bolts but with a lot of fiddling you will find a way.

Welding two alternator tension brackets together may give enough clearence.
If not, you'll need a lowering bracket for the alternator, probably sbd could supply one, they must do one for their TB setups.

thanks matey.

Just relised that bike tb's would cost almost as much as normal and would take longer as i'd have to wait for an inlet to be made!
