IIRC neither has the pas pump fitted or aircon. abs isnt fitted to the engines anyway and the x16xe will have had the sai valve on the manifold.

tbh i would say folk that say one handles very well have yet to experience a car that does handle well.

not directed at you , but it makes me laugh that people slap on a set of coilovers adjust them all wrong and think there corsas handle amazing

corsas do as a general rule have quite good brake though

agree, having had both a 1.4 and 1.6 sport i can safely say without throwing money at the setup they do not handle nearly as well as some of the competition.

My mate now has a C2 VTS. WOW his brakes are amazing

He said that my Corsa's brakes are better than his Saxo VTS that he had b4 his C2.

He said that my Corsa feels quicker and might have even beaten his Saxo BUT it did not handle as well as his Saxo.

This is what he told me.

My mate has just emailed me this.........

Hi all, ive been reading the posts and would like to comment as i have owned a vts and i can tell you, the x16xe is a Faster car.

Of course an x16xe isnt going to beat a vts standard.

Once the seats and sound proofing and every piece of useless material has been removed from the corsa and the kerb weight is near enough the same it is a quicker car.

The saxo will take off in first and second gear but can onlymanage about 79 ish out of third whereas the corsa will do about 84 and get there in half the time. Steves corsa has been decatted and he has got a 4-1 manifold so this will obviously affect the overall performance and i can back him up when he says that his car is a lot faster than a vts.

Maybe his car is a good example.... i dont know.

As you may have heard i own a c2vts now and have raced saxo vts's and there isnt much in it up to 4th gear. Whereas when i get past 5k in second gear steve absolutely leaves my car for dust.

Just thought id share my view through steve as i cannot afford a membership for shelling out repair bills on my FRENCH hatch.

Regards
Mick.

its not a myth, the heads are proven to flow 5% better, and the EGR is just a plain fact, dont even need to debate about that lol

does he not realise the vts has almost 20bhp more than a corsa 16XE, so even if you made them the same weight it would be faster

some people
