Kenny-G's GSi on mint standard alloys (or Speedlines )
7 omm's as is, very Irmchery and top-of-the-range looking!
The red VXR press car.

I know they're not all standard, but I think they'd look great all lined up all in red next to a mint Nova GSi (also red, of course)

Its got to be Nova GSI, Corsa GSI, Corsa C SRI then the VXR. Theres no point otherwise. All as standard as possible.

I think a xe corsa and a LET corsa would be good too as not many people have standard 1.6's anymore so when people are thinking of buying a VXR they can see an old smoky xe won't be far of them.

But from Vauxhalls point of view it'd be pointless to do this because then people will just think fuck spending £16k lets just whack a big engine in a corsa for a grand. It has to be standard for standard imo, otherwise there is just no comparison.

Well people will share different opinions joe, personally if i was wanting to buy a VXR Corsa i wouldn't compare it to a 20yo nova or a 10yo corsa!

Yes I agree. Standard for standard, all top of their range at the time. Will show how much cars have changed

its about the owners veiw steve, cant really compare a nova gsi to a vxr tbh, i think pasty just wants to have a few corsa's and nova's for the mag to show the test has been done with corsa/nova owners

its all good testing these new cars, but its probily best to get points of veiw from people like us

I agree. They will be very different cars, the new one might actually go around corners.

I totally agree which is why most of us would consider spending £5k on a LET corsa which would obliterate the £16k VXR. Which is why i think there should be a LET + XE corsa thrown into the equation.

It shouldn't be a comparison anyway.

It would be the same as a feature with a Mk1 golf gti, mk2, through to the mk5... the best of each, to see how things have changed.

Not saying 'oh look, my mk1 1.8t is faster than the new gti and cost less' as that would be pointless.

Fair enough Robin, didn't think of it like that! In that case yes they should all be standard.
