Cheers Lee. I gave her a clean today, because I'd t-cutted waxed & polished (in no particular order)  last week, it took me 20 mins to get her looking spanky again. I got some crit of Jonny in the snap day thread and Im planning to go take some more tonite. Just for fun really.
I'd love to get her lowered though, something I'll have to put a few £'s a side a week for eh?

its a tailpipe trim
though a subtle one I've been broke since I got the car, and now I'm at Uni. keeping an eye out for a second hand exhaust though.

got an electric buffer for xmas, and not had the weather to test it till today. results pretty tasty, would recommend them, as long as your careful

Thats clean that car  shiney doesnt come into it. Needs different wheels though I reckon.

yup couldnt agree more, but funds are stupid at the moment so I figured I'd take care of what I have until I can change it. would like to lower aswell.

For the age of it thats silly clean  What did you pay for the car? You could probably sell them wheels and get a set of Astra Sport wheels or CDX or something which will look miles better. I sold a set of Astra Sports with 4 good tyres for £50 so their only cheap.

I paid £930, and it had 65k on it.
its got 2 small dents on the boot (next to the badge) but not broken the paint, the front alloys are kerbed, though I got em second hand and they are better than steelies, both look & handling wise.

How do you go about cleaning the car with the buffer? is it simply the same as a normal wax/polish

thanx Danny, well buddy. A lot of people put a negative slant on using buffers, It seems people are careless with them and end up damaging paintwork either by fine grit on the rotary pad or by pressing on or leaving in one spot too long.
I did the two bucket method cleaning, made sure all the foam was gone then took it for a 5 minute spin to remove the excess water. I then used my micro fibre towel as a duster and flicked any dust off the paintwork.
I then sparingly T-cutted the paintwork, and buffed it off by hand.
After that I grabbed my buffer and smeared a tablespoon of megs gold class wax onto the pad and began working it on the paintwork, after I'd done I used a cloth to get to the places I'd missed. Then I swapped heads on the buffer to a buff head and went over the car again. obviously I managed to do 85% of the car so once again I gave the whole car a good going over with the micro fibre cloth.

well I bought the rear courtesy light of ebay about a year ago, and push it into place. Its been there ever since just not wired up.
I decided I'd wire it up today, its a nice little addition I must say:
I wonder if it will be enough to illuminate the rear when looking for stuff in the dark lol.
