West Ham were today holding discussions with Newcastle captain Scott Parker over a proposed £7million move to Upton Park - but only after fighting off late interest from Tottenham.
Manchester United today hold talks with Nani after securing his signature despite a last ditch bid by Tottenham for the player

On the Parker thing, apparently he is to be their highest earner, pocketing more than Lucas Neil who takes £72k per week! Surely thats a joke?!

feel free to find that question being answered and posted up. Personally speaking (and being someone who has been to these meetings AS a shareholder not just a fan or other stakeholder) details of players personal contracts are NOT talked about.
At board level they would be, and Im sure being a shareholder I may well of been able to get the info...but it wouldnt of been answered in a public meeting like that.
The press never tend to be far away from what players are on or been offered, and considering multiple media sources are on about his high wages I wouldnt mnd betting that he is on that!

i see your point cosmo, and i havent put mine accross well, i "belive" the answer was
those figures are way off the mark
now it could be more, but west ham would not pay a right back more than 60k a week, the way i think the press have worked out those figures, it neil was on 40k a week, and then they have divided the survival bonus he got over a periode of his contract, inflating his wages

I think the way they have worked it out is...
Gargoyle looking desperate chairman + money grabbing bastard = high weekly wages for someone who didnt play a full 90mins!
