I fail to see how that makes him a first team player, one start in 6 and a couple of subs?

Thats like saying darren fletcher is for us? surely he is a squad player

i mean first team players like fabregas, RVP, toure, you know what i mean
Furry muff, I get ya

I look at it like, Kolo Toure cost us £150k How much would a young english defender cost? £5m minimum?

yes i can see that side of it too, but, you play in england, should have english players, he has 70million to spend apparantely, can bring in some good english talent for that

plus, he doesnt buy established players, so why doesnt he look for kids in england? too close to home? are the fiddling said kids laws different in other countries?

Hoyte has come through, and the reserve/youth team is full of younger english players, including Hoytes younger brother. If they make the grade, they will play, if they dont they get sold.

Like I said earlier, Gibbs looked good at the Emirates Cup and from what I have heard Mark Randall is meant to be pretty good too.

But Wenger should do whats best for Arsenal not whats best for England.

And look at the last 2 big English names we had. Cole turned out to be a twat and Campbell had a hissy fit when he got subbed against West Ham when he was having a bad game.

I'm not saying they should have more english players for englands sake, im saying they should because thats where they play

same in spain/france/germany/italy

not for the national teams sake, just for the sake of the english game

Benitez has just said on Sky that the Carling Cup is a competition they are taking seriously and he will rotate his squad, went on to say that for some players this is their only chance of a trophy this season.

Strong team Had a feeling he would though, as battering Reading (if that happens) will get the team rolling again after 3 draws in a row.

Itandje
Finnan, Aurelio, Carragher, Arbeloa
Leto, Sissoko, Lucas, Benayoun
Crouch, Torres

Subs: Martin, Gerrard, Riise, Hobbs, Putterill

The FA need to sort the offside rule out.

Readings goal must of been offside. Three of their players were offside when he shot, and two of them had to move out the way of the ball for it to go in the net.

But the ref never gave it for, as far as I can tell, he must of thought they werent involved in play if they dont touch the ball.

Pathetic
