isnt there an FQ 260?
Any links to what exactly is different between the MR ranges... then the MR over a GSR etc?
I know the MR has the carbon spolier, alu roof, better susp/brakes....
What are the engine/drivetrain differences if any?

Go straight for the 911 Adam, why bother with an Evo you've already experienced what they offer with the TypeR.
Sell the 911SC to fund it

Whats the best EVO VIII or IX to go for? Wanting quick, but usable... so nothing daft like an MR400.
Dont need it to be balls out track car, dont want it to be too soft.... something down the middle
MR300? What sort of budget to buy? I'm aware of running costs before anyone starts that one.
[Edited on 20-10-2007 by AK]
I'd go for an MR300 then an ecutek remap/induction kit/exhaust/fuel pump, 370hp for around 900 quid - Don't think you'd find one for 14k though mate, all the MR's seem to be around 16-18k for a nice one. Only plus point of an 340 is the half leather and sat nav.
The difference over GSR is the Bilsteins, alu roof, diff wheels, larger turbine nozzle and cams and larger oil cooler etc iirc.

Most TME's aren't in red. There were equal amounts in Red, Silver, White, Black and Blue

why... i'm not fussed about an Alu roof etc i have the skyline to be 'obsessed' with
Whats the price difference for the fq330 and MR FQ 340 then? a few thousand isnt it? worth it?!?!?!
Plus, the interior looks nice on the FQ 330.
Give me reasons why not and i'll listen.

Well ive read posts from 260, fq300/330 owners wishing they had spent the extra few grand and got an MR in the first place.
I nearly fell foul and paid 15k for a fq300 before doing my research so glad i didnt as the MR holds its value because its the sought after model.
Not just alloy roof but better turbo, cams, suspension, lights etc and of course gunmetal grey the best colour and only available in the MR. unlike red that could just be a tarted up 260.
MR340 has a piggy back ecu and there are reports of it running lean top end so most owners just get them ecutech'd which makes the MR300 a more cost effective option in the first place
If i was going to buy again i would spend 20-21k on a IX GT they are the one to have according to the evo guru's

yup, i'd love a white 9 GT... see what the budget is nearer the time.
Hear what you are saying about the MR. Does the MR 320/340 have the same interior as FQ 330?
