That is very true and why i will more than likely get another xe built one day and leave it as a sleeper, cheap fun motoring

Xe's in my opinion are alot of fun felt really quick at first but like every car you do get use to them, and they do surprise quite a few people. They are very common as of late. E.g was coming back from southend one night to find another two 2.0 corsas on the motorway and neither of us knew eachother. But they are common because they are fun so there must be something about them, i dont see why some people put them down all the time. Especially when a persons experience on them is limited due to not even owning one.

its RWD, its rear engined, it has more power, if corse its going to be quicker to 60

that's what I'm saying. limitations mate.

a corsa is going to struggle to get to 60 in under 6 secs unless you spend ££££££££££££££

thats a massive sweeping statement, as its the same with any FWD car, not just corsa's

i

OK, then all FWD cars. I was just talking about corsas. This does not mean that I was excluding all FWD cars.

im not a mechanic either, and i've built an xe nova, and doing an xe corsa now, it's not hard to do, if you have a decent tool kit

even the wiring simple, it's only 6 wire's to get it running too

no, but what alot of people put down on here (despite you owning a corsa it seems) is put them down, which infact they are no worse than anything else out there including paperbag 106gti's which people seem to wank over like its a motoring icon when infact its just the essance of a mini cooper 40 years later

putting an engine in a car, you must be extremely confident IMO. I personally wouldn't have a scoobies.

Exactly. Nic's LET does about 5.5 - 60 I'm sure he said. But then 100 in under 9. Traction is an issue with FWD.

Corsa1999 it would cost more to get the same power from a 1.6 than it would to fit an XE so I'd say it is quite a good route.

My conversion cost £920 all in including everything and labour for someone to do it for me, It easy enough to pick a corsa up for 2-300 and then sell bits you wont need.

Don't get me wrong, I would love an XE/LET corsa. I wouldn't have the balls to do it myself so the costs ride up getting someone to do it for you.

I'm just boring and if I wanted fast acceleration, I'd just get another MR2 Turbo

my xe corsa on R1 bike carbs was fun, felt like just raw powe unlike my friends s14 which is a 2ltr turbo which just doesnt seem the same. to smooth for my liking

Mine was harsh, pulled amazingly, better when you got higher in the revs and sounded the dogs cock!
