Yeah, it was, at the same time people began flashing me. Like I said, the supermarket lights were bright, and I don't particularly stare at the dash when I'm manoeuvring around town, doing about 10mph because of traffic, traffic lights, and bends.

No the reason why you crashed into somone was because you were following them too closely.
wtf?! The car I hit was stationary, when I came around the corner and there was an unexpected queue of traffic.

I used to drive round in my saxo with full beam on all the time and no one ever flashed me
Probably cause I was 60mm lower at the front that an the back, the lights litterally shone straight at the floor!
My punto also has "Driving Lamps" an I use them

Xenon's on 4x4's annoy me too, I had a range rover behind me the other night and most of the time it was there it was dazzling me Wasn't on full beam just cos they're so high up. Should be banned tbh.

People who drive with foglights on do my head in. And people who get those HID conversions in normal lamps. They just look shit, especailly the blue/purple ones.

Also those people who have one headlight bulb out, so stick on full beam so they have one side that's more or less the same brightness as dipped beam and one side blinding you.
The idiots with fog lights is dangerous! I don't care if your car manual calls them 'driving lights', they're for fog and they dazzle other drivers in clear conditions!
If anyone comes up behind me with them on, I just stick my rear fogs in the hope that they get the point. Yeah, it's petty, but it makes me feel some sense of fairness at the time.

but yeh when I'm driving along, I quite often have to slow down almost to a stop because I can't see anything from some twat blinding me coming the other way.
Tell me about it
I think at the time ' wanker ' then 10mines later i will be like, 'god that 530d is nice, id love one of those! '

My mates 106 QS does. I told him the wiring is wank because you will just be sitting there and the alarm goes off for no apparnt reason - no noise or wind of people to effect it. He rekons its fine is just ded sensitive because we took and ammeter to it and when the battery looses very little charge, it goes off
Only one of his fogs come on though!

the instructions I got with my Irmscher fogs tells me that they are fog lamps - this means they have to be activated by a switch, but legally must then go off when full beam is switched on.
However, driving lamps should be the opposite - they should only work when full beam is on. All this 'they are driving lamps, therefore legal to use' isn't true if you believe this.
Unfortunately, I don't have the instructions here to scan, other wise I would post that section

Half the time I dont even realise I have my front fogs on, Renualts have this really twisted was to turning the fog lights on and off with the lights.
Got pulled for having them on, explained to the copper that the warning light is blocked by the steering wheel, he even sat in the car and agreed with me, let me of with a smile and a warning

Is that not spotlights or driving lamps then if they come on with full beam?
Thats not a problem, you see someone coming towards you, turn off full beam and your spotlights/driving lamps go off aswell. My mates Nissan Sunny had that. He also had fog lights aswell

Fog lights dont actually improve your light. Only thing they do is brighten up the road thats 1 meter in front of you

Try seeing on a bike, in the rain, in the dark when your visor is covered in dirt and crap from the road.
Rear lights really become like stars in your eyes.... Whoel visor just lights up like your looking at a fireball.
Sucks I hate 1 light only cars... Death traps for all.
