if he has got the wrong details down for the car you drive then its a technicality iirc you cant be charged/fined etc.
my mate got off with doing 50 in a 40 because the copper said it was a 30 zone on the ticket and it was a 40
very lucky imo

i was expecting to hear something like this, its quite common for them to do this, they sit right on your tail, im always wary of omegas and volvo estates on the road. tell them you were threatened at a bar and were worried for your own safety you decided to make your way to a police station at speed because you thought the person at the bar was following you in an omega
Yeah, bar, great idea
believe it or not undercover police cars cant do fuck all, a oblivious female relative had an undercover car put the sirens on behind her and she felt threatened by it and drove to the police station. they could not do any charges against her because of this (hamish fuck off)

Yes, but telling them 'yesh officer, I've been to a bar' is clearly NOT a good plan.

hehe - I remember people saying ^^
"Oh they didn't give you a proper ticket, they just gave you a producer? they're probably just trying to scare you"
Then I got the court summons in the post
It's only useful if the FORMAL N.I.P contains in correct info.
With mine, my court summons document had car details probably from the Reg and V5 database.

Yeh but that's a single offence ticket.
If it's outside the boundaries of a single ticket (i.e. greater than a SP30) then it'll go to court and works completely differently.

I see so thats something differnt then. They can just issue the offence there and then. ie what i got.
Supose with the other offences they are assuming you are going to want to contest it.
So what did you get in the end paul if you dont mind me asking.

Well reading the thread it would seem he missed some pretty basic procedures, so hopefully just trying to give you a scare.

i accept i was speeding and a quite blatent excessive use of speed. It just annoys me that i would not have gone that fast if there was no car tailgaiting me reving engines or anything like that.
Probably saw the red car younggirl in the passenger seat and thought right im gunna have him.
