Yeah its sort of like 'throwing money away' in a way, well maybe not that extreme but I dont know how else to put it

It IS throwing money away, no doubt about it.... you are quite literally payign someone elses mortgage but in my current situation i have no choice a si dotn wanna get tied down into a property that i may want to sell in 6 months and which may have lost value in that time... just not worth it at all

I've said this before but in the current market renting is no bad idea. Don't forget, owning somewhere means you've also got to faff about selling it when you want to and thats a few grand.
Plus you've paid more to live there.
Plus you fix things when they break.

Exactly, given I dont know what I want to do right now then renting is probs cheaper in the short term, no faff, no legal fees, no estate agents fees etc.

I was renting til not long ago I paid £6.5k off my landlors mortgage
I didn't feel bad about it though, shit happens there is a reason the rental market is still strong and it suited me at the time

Application done, holding deposit down so just got to wait for the landlord to approve now

No I haven't yet as it's still under warranty  But as soon as I do Want to do a couple of things all together like the dv, airfilter and new exhaust system  Only thing with the dv though is which one to get for the rs as if you ask on FFOC everyone says something different. A few peeps with the dv36 have issues with fuelling and stuff and quite a lot recommend the dv30. Keep meaning to ask Vik what she has on hers, as hers sounds lush (she was in the pub I work in part time in Aylesbury with her rs just before I sold my corsa this year) but no point yet until the damn warranty runs out! Still...
