Not got £7/8k at the moment Looking at a mk2 16v golf by end of feb. Need something a bit bullet proof for next year and not stupid to insure. Next xmas should be getting hefty bonus if all goes ok for company i'm working for so I will be looking at buying something half decent early 2009 probably nothing like an e30 m3 though, although it will defo be rwd

Get an 8v then there more bulit proof that the 16v, & a breeze to fix! Cheaper aswell!

Yeah ace to drive, plenty low down grunt....pull very well. Id have another in a flash if I was after a car like that. Got 1500 for mine, could have possibly asked for more!!

just been looking on PH few nice examples to be had. Sounds good anyway will have to test one soon.

Ronal turbo's and some sort of leathers would need to be bought also.

Looks quite nice on D90's and in that blue

Would be wanting cheaper still though I quite fancy oak green or black though (awaits 'oak green is pish' comments )

Blue ones awsome!! Obviously had the money spent on it!!

Colours fine there Id have no issues buying a silver golf!

Tinted lights only came std from factory on 16v's as far as im aware!!

You can get the lights on ebay for pennies aswell............get it bought!!

Plus I had a borrow on my brothers civic for over a year I had silly priorities for a long time I am starting to think about the future now, a bit

Try 10-12k for a genuine one with no rust and with cam belt done.

A year ago you could pick them up for around 7ish but no more

On the last track day I went on these were the quickest things out there by far. One truly iconic car IMO
