Yeah we're pretty fucked now, it's not impossible but it will be very difficult.
Annoying how one diving spaniard can change the face of an entire competition for a whole club, it's fans and the sport in general

With no away goal I doubt it but never say never.

I thought inter did well btw but felt benitez made most of his full backs and feel 2-0 win was good. Nice it was kuyt and not torres tbh spread good feeling among a few players

End of the day

you lost 2-0

Now seriously, it was harsh to send him off, and it looked like accidental when he caught his shirt. But if the ref considered it to be a shirt pull, it was a foul, and the dive had nothing to do with it

Jules do you not think your making more of a meal of it than you say torres did that foul

It wasn't anything like cheating, there was contact both times. He didn't exactly do an adebayor/drogba/ronaldo

The dive had everything to do with it!
If he had of stayed on his feet - like he could/should - then the game wouldn't of stopped, the ref wouldn't of booked, and Matrix wouldn't of been sent off (at that point, he'd of probably of been sent off before the final whistle though! )

I'm talking about the second incident btw, the first one was just gay, ball running out of play, no need to pull him back but he did and rightly got booked, but the second one was harsh and it was down to Torres diving.

And just because I know he'll be on later to bait me:
Cosmoan

I've gone to bed as I've got work early tomorrow (an alien concept to you I know! )

How fucking dare you put ronaldo in the same sentance as those two

At least Ronaldo has an attempt to make it look like a foul, or is avoiding contact etc, Adebayor's was shocking, and Drogba, well, no need to mention him we all know

Doesn't mask the fact that the game changed since Matrix was harshly sent off thanks to Torres' dive.

I think I can finally hear the cop singing, taken them 85 minutes though.....

teams who lose a player and go down to 10 men quite often win the match, its called raising the game, whereas ur lot all sat behind the ball, no wonder ur keeper had a good game he had 9 other defenders in front of him on the 16 yard line.

wont be easy back at the san siro but tbf, we deserved that tonight, at one point i think it was gonna be a 0-0 after all our domination.

Just annoys me we can do that after how we have been playing

If torres didn't dive, and just stopped and turned round throwing his hands in the air, he would still have sent him off.

Therefore the dive is irrelevant

at least it was only 2-0 for the inter fans, had Liverpool been given that clear penalty it would have made the San Siro trip all the more sweeter

i think even now, they have to win 3.0 to go through

if we get one, then they have to get 4 and even though we dont play wel at the best of times we dont often loose by 3 clear goals, just hope they can keep it tight

I will settle for the team that broke their 5 months unbeaten run

Yer I hope your right, Im not a Liverpool fan but a big fan of a few of the players, especially Torres. San Siro isnt the easiest place to go, remember watching Man Utd get ripped apart there last year, granted they didnt play well but the atmosphere in that stadium is bordering on hostile

If it's 2-0 to Inter at the Giuzeppe then it's extra time and pens if needed surely?

Anyway, I'm off to bed, had a rough day at work, got home (late) and had a row with the missus, watched that shower of shit and got annoyed even more and if I stay on CS I'll probably lose what little rag I have left!

So night night fuckers

Fair play to Liver great result that, but WTF was the referee doing to send Marco off, stupid decision!!!

Our game was crap, but an ok result and we will do them at the bridge.

I new Madrid would lose

u2u me for any lottery result etc...

Torres never dived FFS or charged about asking for players to be booked, it was a soft red but the only guy you should be blaming is the referee, the first yellow wasn't a booking it was a tangle of legs.

Well done to the pool anyway Inter can GTF with their 5 months unbeaten carry on now

Jules dont be a cock. I told you earlier this week we'd beat you and now we have shown that.

I'll admit the two bookings were harsh, but the ref was consistant and booked everytime the same thing happened - and he was pulled back twice when he was ahead of the defender so was technically a yellow.

Aeither way, a great great result for us tonight. Controlled the game, created chances and toook two of the later ones. I said before the game that 2-0 would be a great result for us, and really think we can go away and do what we need to.

And again...Jules
