Right, pictures
My phone pictures:
12v - me
Fit as 1.4 16v SRi C - I'm in love with this car (except the bald tyres)
Gav and his mint (imho) GSi
Warren's thing
VXR - really impressed with the quietness on idle. I want one of these also
Also love this Corsa C
Believe it or not, the only L11 GXE there
Shame the rollers didn't involve turns (hope everything is ok though Paul after your posts )
Right, Lily's better phone pics
Red, honest.
Pete's 12v
jahunt's - running lean
No idea of this guys name - I don't think he was happy though?!
Yum yum
Whore
Fro - I think Lily fancies your car got snap happy

Supposed to be 257, but the operator said he's never seen one make anywhere near that and that today's was the highest. They are VERY tight till at least 10k and more like 20k. It's only done 2800 miles. The standard set up is very restrictive and bear in mind it's just a N/A 2v engine. Not bad really.
They do make more power and torque the older they get and the more miles you put on em. A good example being mine, which is noticably quicker than Dad's.
She still goes like stink though and breaks traction all over the place.
I really was expecting about 214 bhp so was well chuffed. She just needs an Accufab throttlebody and about 10k miles of abuse.

Is that the original engine for the car then? Or is it some kind of conversion? I didn't think these cars were that new, if you get my drift (being such low miles).
Did sound lovely though

It's also very easy to make big power with a turbo, but the law of diminishing returns on a standard N/A car using pump fuel is a strict task master.
My Escort has only 1597cc to play with but makes 286 bhp and 301 lb ft because there's a big sodding turbo bolted on the side of the engine.

Yeah it is Deano
She's a 55 plate but hardly gets any use so is quite low mileage.
They are fairly rare. Only 893 were built as far as I know, so they are not well known or often seen.

Do they like headgaskets as much as other MG's?

Nah, it's got a Ford engine, likes tappets rather than headgaskets.
