yeh ture that is.. seemed there was loads of black corsas when i had mine, now seems lk theres loads of arden blue ones about

if i put a 8v engine in it i would of changed it for a 16v eventually anyway so i thought i mite aswel just get the redtop first as last

UPDATE 29/04/08

Made a start on taking the 1litre out yesterday after noon and ended up getting the redtop in so here are photos of the conversion..

1st thing, mount arrived in the post..



then went up my mates garage to crack on with my car..














anybody know what this wire is for? its going from the ecu to the starter motor i think? there was an aftermarket alarm on the calibra so maybe it could be that?



Redtop ready to go in now..












towed it home then and i will be doing the wiring and finnishing off the water pipes later on

Small update 01/05/08

Ecotec pipe adapter arrived this morning..



also took my bumpers and arches off ready to be colour coded..




done a few small other bits aswel like bold manifold on and other little bits of wiring

Got my rear bumper and arches back!!! and also fitted my smoked lights..

Bumpers look nice, dont know if its the sun but they look darker?not a fan of the lights, would have left them standard but its your car so aslong as you like them thats all that matters

i think they are slightly different colour but the cars colour must of faded over the year i suppose? and once it gets polished and t cuted and what ever else it mite look better

my mate done it, works for volkswaggon spraying.. cost £80 for all 4 arches and front and rear bumper

Did the bumpers and arches get sent seperate then?should of sent the whole car so the bodyshop could of got a near perfect match.

Bit of over spray on the tyres there mate , you should let the air out and pull them away from the rims!

nah they tyres are bald and the wrong size anyway so doesnt bother me because they will be changed once the wheels are painted

You've sprayed primer over the wieghts, so when they get taken off there will be an area of different colour .
