Hi All,

A small update on the GSi.

After being inspired by LukeD's corsa and a few others I saw at PVS this year I started pricing up a Chequered roof for my GSi. Got a few quotes but all were way to expensive so I decided to have a go at doing it myself.

I bought some white gloss vinyl and matt black vinyl from ebay, used the office gilatine (not to sure how to spell that!!) and set about cutting the vinyl into squares.

Once that was done I set an afternoon aside and started the boring and fustrating task of sticking the stickers on the roof. Took about 3 hrs to do but im very happy with the result and I reckon it looks really good and suits the car spot on.

Heres a few pics of the finished result:

Hope everyone likes it.

Next on the list is some Euro themed alloys and streched tyres, better start saving.

Would have been better if you'd just done black squares on the normal roof. White/black looks abit weird.

Car is looking good.

Think I agree with DaveB about the white not looking quite right, but it's looking good none the less!

Can't wait to see what wheels you go for

I was going to just do black squares but because I have a sunroof it would have looked odd and I couldn't find any vinyl that matched the smoke grey paint.

Cheers for the comments
