most modifications actually de-value a car anyway as you are appealing to a much smaller market.
Finally
I will agree that modding a car de-values it, but it's when you go all out and leave no stone unturned like in this example that you can expect more for it.
If it was listed for £1500 then it would have sold in seconds, but if you can get a good £6k more out of it then why not try. If it doesn't sell then put it down a bit more. I reckon it's a good price as well, about right I'd say. Unfortunately I don't have that much to spend

Still think he would get more of his money back by splitting it though. Fair enough if he doesn't want to see it broke up but he would have much more chance of getting rid.

How many of those bought their cars already modded though? isn't the whole idea supposed to be you do the work yourself to get it 'unique'?
plus paying through the nose for a modded car kind of defeats the object when you can buy much better cars for the same money.

Well some people want to buy modded cars, it's supply and demand.
I bought mine standard because I had the money and needed a car, and it was the right price. I originally didn't even want a Corsa, now I want another one

I bought my first car totally modded and changed the bits i didnt like.
EDIT :and how many young people can afford to run a "better car",young people start with looks then go onto bigger cars when insurance drops etc
and a 1.6 is cheap enough to insure

its cheap to run and insure?
7.5k for all the work thats been done is a bargain.
A one off show car that could easily win awards at the right shows is a bargain.
To make a car the same would cost ou over 25k and you get it for 7.5k is a bargain?
Its not everyones cup of tea,but i bet someone will buy it.

The cheap running costs are offset by the price he's asking for it, like I've said. It's only a bargain if you want that exact car with those exact mods on it, the quality of the work is irrelevant.

Not a chance it'll get anywhere near that, it IS only a 1.6 corsa at the end of the day.

Does it matter, if he finds the right buyer he will get the money. I sold my Corsa overpriced, the buyer was happy because of the parts that were on it. He then sold it on again, but for even more than he bought it for.
Its finding the right person, technically no its not worth £7.5 but to someone it may be. No point bitching on here about it.
Also the interior on that is fucking amazing.

You have backed me up Joe numbers. Some folk jump on bandwagons and actually believe what people say about modded cars.

Someone out there will buy it for 7.5k...thats for sure. Like people say, when building a car like this it limits the market. But this WILL be worth 7.5k to someone....
People who enjoy modified cars to this extreme can spend 7.5k just gettting custom bodywork done.....
Ill tell you one thing, its a refreshing change to gsi kit's and speedlines...
People need to spend more time in their garages rather than bitching on the interweb.

yes but hugely modded evo's/skylines usually have silly power which attracts the 'mature' owner who wants power with looks.
i'm not disputing the fact it's a lovely corsa, but the price is very extortionate.

Ain't that the truth mate.
If someone wants to put their money where their mouth is and spend £7.5k on a car and modding that much to that standard, then be my guest. But it won't look anything on that Corsa.

Good luck with the sale mate
Seen this car a few times in the flesh, it's absolutely mint. As said by a few people it does seem overpriced. You've got to start somewhere, i'm sure the paint / interior / wheels is that on its own.
