Well yesterday was a very long day, left at 11.30am and didnt get back till about 12am.

My first destination was Cumbria where I met rickiek123 who was selling a c20let.

He took me out in it and all I can say is I cant believe im having the engine out of it, quick is an understatment.

Drive down -

Got lost so had to meet Ricky somewhere

Taking engine out -

After about 2 hours engine finaly out..

And this was the state of my car with everything in

Making it sit quite low and struggle up some of the steep hill Cumbria had to offer

Some other piks from the day

Oh and cant forget this beast

After taking the engine out we then had to travel for another couple of hours back down to Manchester to drop car of at Beardys, arrived there at something like 10 -11.

So now the car is being worked on by Beardy and should be transformed in the next few weeks

Well here is a update.
Well Jay dropped his car off last night right from picking his engine up, arrived at mine about 9pm.
After rolling out of my bed at dinnertime i took the car to my garage/unit an began work. By 5pm this is as far as i got.
Found a few bits missing and need to sorce BUT most of the work on the engine is done. Only real time comsuming is New custom Boost pipes and Exhaust system.
Jay has not asked for the car back until Sept 11th so i will finish it off asap then use it for a few weeks as my everyday run about to make sure all is 100%.
Enjoy, will keep the updates coming.......

Yep Adam does work fast!

I will write up the full spec soon when I know what parts adam is replacing and the spec of exhaust etc....

I know its running EDS Phase 2 software which ive been told takes it to around 260bhp but that is ovcourse an estimate.

Wont be far off that though, my old corsa LET ran 149.9bhp with EDS phase 2 and a frontera intercooler.

Nice work Beardy, what exhaust system is going on?

Beardy is making the system himself, it will be the same as the one in NeilM's project, fully TIG welded turbo back (De-cat)

Not sure on bore size havent checked with him yet im guessing 2.5 possibly 3"..
