Of course it is. For starters physics dictates that the centre of gravity will move back when power is applied which will reduce traction on the front (driven) wheels. There are suspension setups borrowed from FWD drag racing (which quite clearly work, or people wouldn't be running 7 second 1/4s in the states) which would stop the car being quite so undriveable, not to mention all the other things which you've neglected to mention.
There's a company local to us who build very powerful FWD cars all day long who have a lot of little tricks to allow them to deal with the power, like suspension setups designed to stop the weight transfer and actually force the front of the car down under load.
Of course if you just hammer it out of the first hairpin you see it's not going to work out too brilliantly for you, but that'd happen with a 150bhp car. If you control the 'loud pedal' properly, it's not an issue.
Where do you think the limit for power in an FWD car is?

236.3bhp according to my mate that works at aston 
cant see any power being a problem to be honest if set up properly

Nothing to do with the huge drag slicks, tiny top end powerband, sticky glue track surface, ass end higher than a jumbo...
Because all this works on a ROAD car doesn't it

if you say so but if a car would make 400 on rollers if they were calibrated then it will make 400 on road the difference mite be that the rollers dont run out of road oh and you cud maybe get wheel spin on rollers like i did satday so you mite not get a true reading

There are good rolling roads and not so good ones. Track and road for instance seems very reputable, then there are the ones that give +200bhp ATW iirc for stock XE's on TB's which aint happening imho is it...

Coping with power is being driveable even by a complete muppet IMO. Thats why I said about the torque doubling in a matter of a few hundred RPM, it wouldn't be too easy to hold it steady when bouncing the kerbs on a trackday.
You seem to have neglected the fact that these American FWD cars posting stupid times are complete 1 trick ponies, often no longer have full lock due to rim width, run on uber high octane fuel (about £115 last time my mate bought some!) and are not road legal. Oh, plus the great big climbing frame/jockey wheels on the back don't exactly hurt either.
None of the above constitutes a very 'useable' car IMO.
Oh, to answer your question, I personally think around 220-250 BHP is where you are noticably losing usability at a fast rate in a front wheel drive car, thats where I am being a c*nt though as both of mine should easily surpass those figures.
EDIT: As a trained engineer I cannot envisage how you would move the CoG to the front of the car when accelerating, unless of course you are drag racing in reverse?
