i always do gloss first and then the walls, makes it easier to get a better finish as it wipes off the gloss and masking tape sticks to it beter

Emulsion the walls first then gloss afterwards.
Did you get somebody (NICEIC) to put those twin sockets in?

Never thought of it that way, that sounds like a much better way of doing it, I just glossed all ours before we put the skirting boards on.
