i do agree with that however, and with a vw you will be needing the warrenty

True but the e46 has hit the worst of its deprciation which IMO ofsets the advantage of having a warranty. Also if you do buy from a specialist you'll get a pretty comprehensive waranty anyway.

16k can buy you a pretty recent coupe or a earlier Cabrio.

Pah, I don't understand people that buy cars and worry about how much it's going to be worth in 3 years time.

Agreed though at 16k an r32 is not something to be sniffed at.

where the made is'nt the issue, vw love cost cutting, and IMO they are no better than ford/vauxhall etc in quality now, my corsa c is far far better inside than a 9n1/2 polo in everyway for example

im not sure what mattb thinks ?
