I see what they are trying to do - they need players to keep them up and push for a decent finishing spot, but they also need some high profile signings to bring in some money and attract more top name plays this summer.

I see Bellamy is now talking to Man City, when not a week ago he said he loved playing for West Ham as was going to stay.

Money talks these days though, no much place for loyalty in the game anymore.

Can't exactly say you'd be any different?

If you played for Huddersfield on 2k a week, and you was good enough to play for someone like Wolves on 15k per week, you'd go i'm sure?

Which jobs have loyal employee's?

If I was on £2k per week at Luton, and somebody from the CCC came in with the same wages I'd leave. Better job.

What if you were already set up for life on the contract you are on and in with a chance of winning things and going down in history - or going somewhere for more money but little chance of winning things for the next few years?

Exaclty.

Not like Kaka is on 2k a week is it, im guessing he'll be getting paid around 80k at AC, not like he needs the money. Bellamy the same (although with not such high figures involved) so why bother moving to a club that is worse off than where you are, without as much chance of winning things if it isn't for the money?

I wouldn't, i'd stay at Huddersfield. Even if it meant playing at a lower level.

I'd much rather be playing for a club I love, than a club that I have no conections with.

Because Bellamy is a bit of a prick, and to be fair, even though i'm a west ham fan, i'd wanna go to City with the chance of playing with Robinho and the likes.

Also, Bellamy seems to be a money grabbing twat anyway, so he'll be after as much as he can get

Weren't the WHU fans singing to sell him at the end of the game against Fulham?
That'd swing my interest away from the club aswell tbh

Bellamy would have marginally more chance of winning something with Man City than WHU so can kind of understand why he would go, although I think by time Man City do win something Bellamy will either of been sold a long time previous or he'll be a bit-part squad player.

He had to consider the move, because even to him the money being mentioned was substantial

But i thought even with the money he wouldnt go, because he'd be playing notts forest away next season

As said before, the money - although a huge amount - couldnt of come into it given he must already be on a few mil a season basic wage.

I just dont understand why he didnt come out and laugh at the offer straight away, as at the end of the day it was a mickey mouse club after him. The fact he even considered it was bad IMO, but at least he did the right thing.
