Indeed. Although the astras certainly no supercar At 150+ it feels smooth, refined, relaxed and easy.
130+ in the corsa, stearing wheels rattling a bit, engines screeming, feel evern un-dullation (?sp), every bump, its excitingly scarey
so true

same as that. I got 100 indicated on a downward hill.
Fastest is in an E46 M3 on the M6 Toll gone midnight. Top speed of them is 155mph limited. This was showing 165mph on the clocks I wasn't driving.

Tbh I don't think they NEED a runway they just choose to use it? Safer not breaking the law etc..

150/160 in the Rex with the old engine, never tried with the new engine though. Roll on the Autobahns in April for that.
Engine blew at about 140/145 racing that Maserati though

But bearing in mind the percentage error on the speedo will be pretty big at that speed it would have been more like 108ish in real life.
Most SS1000cc bikes can't do over 184mph all tested and prooven.
Only the MV Augusta has a higher top end at 187mph. The fastest production 1000cc sports bike available.
Even the World Superbikes with £50+k engines are only doing 210mph
It can be done, but it'll take more than exhaust, filter, and engine remap to do it.
Early Hyabusas made 202mph, but Japan made a "Gentlemans agreement" limiting all Japanese Superbikes to 184mph. ( At those speeds, really, whats 184mph gonna do )
SS600cc sports bikes do between 155-175mph tops (R6 being 172-5mph, GSXR 165, CBR 164 on average over various bike mag tests).
Kano - Indeed, I saw 130 last night and was ony on the motorway for about 2 miles. Its so effortless on a bike.
Also, the current CBR1000 range does jsut over 100mph in FIRST GEAR!!!!!! Dads old TL1000 saw 95 in 1st
Adios pretty much EVERY car on the road up to 100mph Sub 9 second 0-100mph dash anyone.
And people wonder why i've moved to bikes for 1/10th the cost

indeed, and its easy enough to change a sprocket to get a higher top end or get a bike turbo'd for not alot of money, like I posted before ( and I'll need to check with him ) but a mates Holeshot Racing 'busa will easily top 200mph - i think hes running around 300>350ish hp (stage 3 i think) which is alot more power than a WSB/MOTOGP/BSB bike- i think. it becomes a handful in the twistys though....

I managed an indicated 120mph in my old 1.2 16v Corsa B pre 17" wheels. Once the 17s went on it would not go past 100mph unless it was going downhill
Anything over 90 in it felt scary TBH.
