No MOT still as cba to find a new bumper You'll need a bit more power, or a 16v in your car by then if you want a good chance

I know I would lose savagly, but would give me a kick up the arse to 16v mine

Just go to a scrappys and get any old S1 bumper for the MOT, then stick the cut one back on.
