Haimsey, it's probably as simple as somebody guessed your secret answer... If your virus defs are up to date, and you have a pretty solid firewall, then it's probably not going to be anything on your PC.

Funny fact...
If you were infected by a trojan and your attacker was currently in your pc, you could use the same software he is using, to also hack into your pc and talk to him...
Well you could when I was 15 Sub 7

^^ no joke, you could also flick their PC into 'Matrix Mode'...
Screen would go black, with nothing except for a green flashing > prompt at the top left.
You could then type 'Hey it's Morpheus... the matrix is real'
By which point the victim had yanked the phone cord out of the wall (back in the day of 56k )

Sub7 was the bollocks back in the day, must be so much easier these days with broadband connections instead of waiting for it to send to your ICQ

Haha yeh, although 'back in the day' ICQ was so crap, that when you clicked a user's profile it had their IP number shown!
I must admit a 56k modem made the whole 'watch what they were doing' functionality pretty useless, more like a slide show.

I remember a pic a while ago of a guy who had just had an error message complimenting him on his choice of boxer shorts on the radiator or something. Genuine fear.

be careful mate... you may be opening them up for attack for a lot more than just what you want to dish out. The example of how people can message you at the same time using the same software, when inside a pc was me finding I was pissing about with a mate 'as a joke' - when a message box popped up on my client saying 'haha, what shall we do to him! shall we fuck his computer up!' ... It was a fellow hacker (script kiddie) who was also inside his PC at the same time.
I quickly told my mate to disconnect and clean his pc. After that, we just saw what this software did across a network which wasn't on the internet.
There was a really cool function which converted text to speach and played the voices out of the victims speakers.
You imagine sitting at your PC, and you hear the computer talk to you 'Nice blue jumper mate' as the hacker had viewed you through your own web cam and saw your blue jumper. You'd shit a brick.
Just a warning that they may get fucked over by someone else, once infected, and that person may not be 'messing about'

So is anyone any wiser to where this "Hacker" has got our information from?
I'm Defo thinking it is a member on here, viewing our profiles to get our hotmail address, then using some sort of software to get our passwords etc.
