I really don't like this google stuff now.

Far to easy to get information.

Just think, you could scope someones house out to rob it, without having to even leave a computer. You could plan the whole thing......
theres plenty of people out there that will use this software to their own advantage.

I don't live on a road though so im ok

Other than convenience, it doesn't offer any more than driving past in your own car would do. Infact, it's old and out of date if anything.

I really can't see a problem with it, if you're going to get robbed - it won't be because of google earth

Ah so thats what that Astra was that was going the other way to me the other morning!

Does that mean me and my car will be on the pic once it gets uploaded to google? I'm guessing it was taking the photo/video whatever as it drove along the road?

Not on there yet. But its a really useful tool for our work.
Instead of going out for a site vist to see what the road layout is like we can quickly pop on to Google and we can get a good idea of what its like, saving time and money.

google maps. find the street you want to look at. drag the little orange man from the slider bar to the street you want. if it's available the street will be outlined in blue.

Yet there's countless that haven't been censored (and thats just me looking quickly).

Really dodgy...

For example, I look on google maps, find a car same as mine, same colour - nick it's reg number - get a number plate made online and then i can drive around with no insurance, stealing fuel from forecourts etc.

Surely they don't have to do that? They are afterall only showing you what you would see if you were stood there at the time. That would mean I would all have to censor my numberplates wherever I go, incase another pedestrian or road user saw me
