well a vectra 1.8 16v isnt much slower than a honda on book figures. together with a lighter shell, seems like on paper it would eat them for breakfast.

i beat a 495bhp civic type-r that is supercharged and on gas on sunday in time slips. by quite a bit aswell.

On what scale? For what it is its a nippy little motor.. even a LET engined Corsa isnt particularly quick on the grand scheme of things, but for the budget and a corsa it is quick...

Personally I have to say I'm just not at home in a FWD car and the lack of traction is pissing me right off..

ah but i can wheelspin and still accelerate while wheelspinning quicker than some 4x4 cars can get to 60 nevermind other fwd stuff.

Peak torque on the XE1 is silly low so its hard to get a decent launch, but when you do its revs so fast the car weighs so little it goes very well for what it is! I'm by no means dillusional about the performance and you can believe what ever you want to believe
