my live tester didn't work

pull the fuse out of the amp and look at the fuse

lol...It says 25 on it, it has two flat pieces of metal, connected via a 'z' shaped piece of metal.

just a normal fuse? :s

it's also very light yellow, lol

lol ok so thats fine, it must be one of the power lines then, i would trace your power cables and check for splits or breakages.

but this began happening when I tried to tap a ciggy lighter in? It must be electrical, not physical.

I'm getting a big headache from this stupid amp now...(well im not but I wish I was).

ok so where did you tap the ciggy lighter in ? check the fuses to the right of the steering wheel.

What fuse am I checking? (does it have a little picture?)

I tried to tap it into the yellow wire marked "battery", I just touched it in there for a second...with no GND connected.

Btw...my old amp was 2x20 fuses connected to the amp, will I need to change any to 25 in the fusebox for this new one to work cus the new one has a single 25 fuse in the amp?

im stumped buddy all i can say is make sure the Remote wire is touching metal like opull the plastic sleeve back and wrap the cable around the metal connection if not i would say pull out all the wires and start from scratch

ok cheers, I'm also stumped, lol.

If I can't get it working soon, I'm taking it back to where I go it wired up and will pay them to fix it, they'll obviously try to con me (oh, well this was blown and we replaced it) etc.

i would say just rewire it yourself it really is easy enough to do.

It doesn't need re-wiring, I've followed all the cables, they're all intact, the battery one, the power cables, remote one...ground.

What damage could I have done by putting a wire from a cig lighter into the yellow wire behind the cd player marked "battery", while it didn't have an earth? (it had the wire but I didn't earth it).

cus that's as soon as problems occured

probably blown a fuse under your dash, couldnt tell you which one though off the top of my head which corsa you got it might be in my haynes?

I also have a Haynes but I'm useless at following Haynes diagrams mate.

My corsa is a 1.2 8 valve, 1996 (pre-97) corsa b. Vegas

Yer mate, head unit is fine, so are the 2 door speakers.
