Know what you mean Jules, would look mighty strange with a rag top and its not like the hard top stores away in the car somewhere

Tough decision. I think I'd go for the R8 though, not sure what it is about them, but for some reason I love the way they look. Even though they do look a bit weird.

GTR, speaking to a fella who has one here, imported if for a stupid amount, he said he has had porsches', has a 550 ferrari here also, and said he cant stop driving the GTR, he says its brutally quick and handles like nothing hes ever driven.....

For something you are likely to use on track, GTR for sure.

For an everyday driver though, I suspect the R8 would be easier to live with, and its not like you're going to be wringing the neck out of the GTR on public roads very often so, to me, would be a bit wasted.

R8 all the way, plus I think they look better anyway

Definately the Skyline. Local guy to me had an R8 and he just traded it in for a new RS6... Think he lost a fortune on the R8.

Both are nice cars in their own right. But from what I have seen on uk roads the R8 is pritty common. Only seen one R35 in the UK so far.

When we was over at nurburg a couple of weeks ago there was a fair few R35's going round. And they all looked very composed and fast almost like they were out of a computer game. Only thing that gave away how hard they were going was the sound of tortured tyres

There were a couple of dark graphite coloured ones from the chec republic that look very very quick

And this white one kept appearing in the car park near our house, didnt realise they were so big

So for me it would be R35 or a white 997 just because they are stunning

I don't think the r8 feels special enough for the money. What about an Aston v8 vantage? Either way, it's a nice situation to be in.

R8 everytime.

GTR is the best of it's class, the fast jap machine class.

R8 is the lowest of it's class, the supercar class.

Out of them 2 for me it would be the R8, but not in black. Altough if I was buying a car for that price i'd be having either a Bentley Conti or maybe a Ferrari of some sort.

i'd probably have the r8 if i wanted people to know i have the money to buy a 'supercar'

the gtr is huge and definitely has a presence about it. saw a silver one last night and it was awesome, sounded lovely too.

i'd probably go for something a little better though, like joe says, an 2nd hand aston

Audi R8.

GTR will be miles faster but is it not a case of the computers doing most of the work so you maybe wouldn't feel as involved? I'm sure its still a hell of a car though!

Out of an R8 or 911... thats a tough one!
