Exactly. Life is too short to miss out on stuff like this.

having stories is important, i used to work with a lad, he never, ever went out, he had shit loads of savings, but nothing to talk about, he used to love hearing what we'd been up to over the weekend when we got in work on a monday morning. id hate to be like that, ok so at times im sure weve all done things when you act like a complete badger but at least theres the stories

I knew the general area we were in, our tent was fairly unique, there's only another couple and the fact we were beside another beast.
If we had a wee blue tent like everybody else does i'd have no chance.

I have stories. My grandkids will just have different ones to report to the teachers compared to the other kids.
"What did you grandad do in summer '08"?
"Get pissed at a festival"
"What did you grandad do in summer '08"?
"Get stoned at a festival"
"What did you grandad do in summer '08"?
"Go to the Portes du Soleil region of France for a mountain biking holiday"

Although getting pissed in a field and wearing a wedding dress and losing your voice singing to your favourite bands is immense you are allowed to go to festivals and take your pushbike to France. Although in saying that I've been to france 4 times and I detest the place and riding bikes gives me groin chaffing so that's my worst nightmare really.

You don't tend to sit down when going downhill, otherwise you'd just go straight over the bars.
The Alps are completely different to normal France!

There's various things, myhabs, yurts, just pre pitched tents.
Some of them cost a grand including your ticket, a grand to have a slightly cleaner bit to camp at

I've been young free and single for the past 6 months, and loving it.
Can't wait to get down to T and meet some fresh fanny (figurativly speaking of course).
