Got some more pics the other day
There's the roll cage in all it's glory.
I've also been buying some bits for it, got a new gearknob, a Quaife style nylon one, bought a steering wheel boss and fitted the wheel from my old Fiesta, an OMP Velocita.
We've also decided to run it with a crank sensor, so I've got hold of a trigger wheel for the bottom pulley
and best of all, Broster drew me a new centre console to house my ECU, 2 52mm gauges (Lambda and boost), 2 toggle switches (fan and launch control/flat shift), the Gotech fuel potentiometer and a single push button switch (which I need to drill the hole for) for something else.
That's going to be painted satin black and should look awesome.
I've also got some new wheels courtesy of Baskey, they'll be having a cheeky refurb and my R888s from the Fiesta.
I'll get some pictures of the wheel and my knob in a bit.

Just pics of the wheel will be suffice mate
In a strange way I quite like this car - my neighbour regretted selling his newer one as he said it was the best handling / fun car he's ever owned. Would personally remove the stickers from the rear rear wings though.
Look forward to seeing the plans develop

All the stickers are going to come off. However, the one on the driver's side rear is covering a patch of poor paint apparently, so I need something to go back over it.

Quick update, here's the wheels when I got them. I think they're Enkei RP-01s.
How they look now, after 2 coats of paint
These just arrived too, waiting to go on later
Just waiting on tyres now, then we're all set for the 5th.

The crank pulley is being modified at the moment to accept the 36-1 trigger wheel I have, after that, it's a case of bolting it back on, mounting the crank sensor and crossing my fingers that it wasn't something more than an electrical fault.
At the end of the day, I'm no worse off if I can't go, I've paid for it already and my money won't be back in my pocket either way.
It's looking likely that it'll be sorted though.

Well, I've done well here...
I need to get this up and running so I can use it.
The paint has flaked off the wheels so I'm going to get them re-done in a different colour and have the cage done to match.
If I can't get it running myself, I might buy another and swap the coilovers, rear diff, shafts and prop etc over and strip this one down for spares.
What I really need is some money to pay someone to get it to work for me.

So, I saved all that was worth saving, everything else has been cubed. Got £109 for the scrap, £130 a ton at the moment.
Car number 2 has the coilovers, driver's seat, OMP steerring wheel, Quaife gearknob, the quieter exhaust, and will soon have the better roll cage fitted.
I have a blue Cobra Monaco S (the wider one) for sale too, if anyone is after a cheap bucket seat?
Bye bye Pinky
