Although it took him a couple of days after Cardiff to moan we were cheating.

Not sure where we cheated, Strauss probably thought he did catch the ball, the no ball thing isn't cheating as such, he was 1cm further than he should of been, no more.
Everything evens out anyway, they got some luck in the first test, and probably will in the next test.

I think Nath was referring to Ponting complaining about England's timewasting in the first test, that's what I was responding to anyway.
I don't think Strauss was up to anything dodgy with that catch, he probably thought he caught it cleanly. Although if the third umpire was watching the same replay as the rest of us I can't see how the fuck he gave it out.

the thing is, they didn't refer it to the third umpire, he went and asked the square leg umpire, who said it did carry and hence it was given out.
If the third umpire was consulted, it wouldn't of been given.
the first test was hardly cheating either, they bowled the number of overs that were required, they couldn't get us out, we wasted maybe 5 mins, but yeah any team would do it, same as in football timewasting in the corner tbf.
the media blew it way out of proportion anyway, i'm pretty sure ponting was just pissed off and venting.

Really? Dunno like I could have sworn I saw them get on the walkie-talkies when they were conferring.
I agree it was Australia's fault for not getting the wickets needed at Cardiff, they had ample time to knock us over but couldn't manage it. But I can still understand Ponting complaining as it was just blatant timewasting by Strauss, just shamelessly taking the piss. The umpires were at fault (again) for not doing anything about it.

Was actually some play today! Unfortunately for England, they bowled poorly, and conceded 25ish boundaries in 2 and a half hours!
This test will probably be a rained-off draw tho if the great british summer continues
