friday night is d-day for me. £1 clutch fix, might work, probably wont. if it does work its going to get abused on sunday till something else breaks. which is normal.

road test of home made clutch and new gearbox coming up so if succesful, then i will hopefully be looking forward to an irn bru bar. infact, its something to look forward to. hopefully will see you there then.

gearbox is fucked. well not fucked but crunches a bit. will try and blow up an f28 i think.

ooh sounds expensive.

Why's the gearbox crunching? Clutch not engaging properly?

no synchro's fooked. it survived though. and that clutch took abuse quite well all day. infact the only incident the car had was when my mate slick was driving it and it popped the radiator. doh.

my mate ron jeremy fairly getto'd it back together though. so we carried on.

well it was a good day apart from having to go and get a gear linkage after one of the plastic bushes went awol somewhere down the strip. after a 2.5 hour round trip to get one, got back and was told we had got into the shootout with a 13.44 so rushed to fix the car, got to the holding area and were told we were to late by about 1 min damn. anyway it was nice to meet you nic and put a face to the name and congrats on winning the final and seting a new pb 12.01 well done!

bit sad on the linkage bit. especially making the final. 13.44 was the 3rd fastest fwd time of the day someone said.

crail is by far the friendliest place ive been to. so many people up for a bit banter and some random conversations. its great.

hopefully see yours going again in september steve?

What a day of distaster

Snapped a shaft on the way there, had to change it at the roadside, luckily I had spares

Then my mate in the nuburgring van snapped a shaft too. so I had one for him too.

Good to meet you Nic sorry I couldn't speak longer, was retrieving parts and tools to sort the van.

But congrats on winning today, love the noise from your car, but the long haired dude didnt

I'll be back in september or november with something more reliable

yeah, me and him are crail mates. seem to rip the piss out of each other all the time

will be back up for ultimate scottish street car september 20th i think it is. me and the slick do the multi driver scheme again. he has to beat his best of 12.3 he will beat my time soon as he is easy 4-5 stone lighter than i am.
