Told me I hadn't got it yet and I couldn't cancel
So yesterday when it came through I rejoiced
I was ready for the fact I hadn't had a text with the following info that site provided tho...
4.3 In such cases [of wishing to terminate your contract] you would need to give us at least 14 days written notice prior to your Billing Date (and within one month of us telling you about the changes).
16.1 We regard you as having been given any information if it is either:
a) included in a mailing addressed to you
b) by voicemail, email text or other form of electronic message sent by us to your Device
c) communicated directly by any means.
In other words, if they say it on the phone then that's enough.

Yup I also tried that too..
Phoned up.
Just trying to find out if these changes are going to affect me.
Not unless you've had the text.
So after sept 14 I wont be charged any more than what i am at the moment?
Unless you receive the text? No.
Bastard.

I'm just gonna jump back on O2 PAYG as all my mates are on O2 and get free calls/texts to other O2 mobiles. I also never ever use all my minutes or send any texts so my £35 a month was pointless. I just liked getting phone upgrades.

Yup it still works.
You get 30 days to port your number.
If its not used within 30 days you automatically accept the new terms and need to stay with orange.

I presume the deadline to call up to cancel is 1 September?

Most places say they were sent out mid-July.
If you were going to do it I can't see why you can't do it right now.

Is it just the tariff you want?
Have you already got a phone you want to use the tariff on?
The o2 simplicity tariff is a monthly rolling contract.
600 mins
1200 texts
unlimited data
£20 a month

No, it's just like a contract that you can cancel at any time.

right, just camcelled PAC code should be with me in a couple days
just ordered new contract with orange for a htc hero phone
now the decision is do i
recycle current phone and use new phone
recycle current phone sell htc phone and buy cheaper phone
sell new phone and keep using old phone
old phone i dont like and can get £127
so would only cost £50 really for a half decent phone
could be doing with the cash tbh

Love how people cancelled their Orange contracts because "the price increase was too much" only to go out and get another with them a day later
